The war in the Middle East has a major influence on holiday plans. This year, Dutch people are going en masse by car and staying closer to home, according to a tour. “People don’t let their holidays be taken away and they cook a meal at the campsite instead of going out to eat,” says Sanne Over of the ANWB.
