Beşiktaş GAİN Men’s Basketball Team’s national player Yiğit Arslan said goodbye to the black and white team with a message.
The 30-year-old shooting point guard shared a farewell message on his social media account.
Emphasizing that he had difficulty expressing himself after a long time, Yiğit Arslan said, “Thousands of memories, joys and sorrows… When I walked through the door of this club 3 years ago, I did not think that we would write so many stories. We were all very ambitious and hungry, but what we experienced was beyond my dreams. So are my sadness. Returning from the edge of cups, exceeding expectations, but at the same time not being able to crown these achievements with a cup will always remain a regret inside me. When I look back, I did everything for this club, every second.” “Seeing my success and being the captain of such a great club will be an honor that I will never forget. I have made brothers, sisters and friends in this club; I have established a strong bond with our fans. Thank God, I am writing this with my head held high, my eyes full and my heart at ease.” he said.
Underlining that it is very difficult to say goodbye to Beşiktaş Club, the national basketball player said:
“Before opening the pages of a new story in my life and career, I would like to say that I loved everyone here very much. It took up a huge place in my heart and this love grew day by day. I would like to thank our manager Özkan Arseven and our general manager Nedim Yücel, who supported me for three years, our team working in the office, our teacher Dusan Alimpijevic and our valuable technical team, our medical team and labor equipment team who always supported me even though I was injured in the last final series, in short, everyone who contributed to this journey. Thank you very much. As I leave here, my family has grown and become a big family with all of you, my love and respect.”
Yiğit Arslan, who joined Beşiktaş in June 2023, played for three seasons in the black and white jersey.
