Peek & Cloppendorf Düsseldorf will have to do without its brand director in the future. Tewe Maas will be leaving the Düsseldorf fashion retailer on August 1st, as he announced on Thursday on the career network Linkedin.
Maas worked for the company for a total of more than 17 years, most recently as Marketing, Brand & Creative Director and member of the Marketing Board. His career at Peek & Cloppenburg began in September 2009 as a fashion management trainee. In the following years he took on numerous functions within the company and gradually worked his way into management positions.
In his farewell post, Maas looked back on his time at the fashion retailer. The years at Peek & Cloppenburg had a lasting impact on him. He had the opportunity to work with extraordinary people, develop brands and be responsible for collections. Most recently, he also built an AI-supported photo and content studio, which he described as one of the most ambitious projects of his career to date.
Maas announced a new focus for his professional future. From his point of view, the fashion industry has large amounts of data and a lot of creative flair, but there is often a lack of connection between the two. In the future, he wants to work on solutions that bring together experience, data and artificial intelligence and thus create a better basis for decision-making for product development, collections and campaigns.
He initially left it open where Maas would go after he left Peek & Cloppenburg. According to his own statements, the change begins “a new chapter” for the marketing expert.
