Kocaelispor announced that it has stopped negotiations for the transfer of Croatian defender Hrvoje Smolcic. The club’s press spokesman, Kadir Genç, told reporters that although the club has pushed all the conditions in the long-running negotiations for Smolcic’s final transfer, there has been no concrete development.
Kadir Genç said, “For the final transfer of the football player to our club, the maximum offers that our club could make under today’s economic conditions were made to both his original club and the football player. The offers made were periodically increased and presented to the football player and his main club. However, considering the financial sustainable structure of our club, it was decided not to increase the offers further and transfer negotiations were stopped.” he said.
