European passenger rules adjusted after thirteen years of struggle: this is all going to change

Free seat selection for a mother who wants to sit next to her child is the only major change in EU passenger rules. These were to be overhauled after thirteen years, but during the grueling negotiations in Brussels not much gain was achieved for travelers. The new rules will come into effect next year.
