According to a study published in British Journal of Sports Medicineto substantially lower the risk of heart attack and stroke in adults, we would need to sweat four times morethat is, no less than 10 hours in total per week. But what also makes a difference is the starting physical form, which influences the amount of activity necessary to obtain benefits for the heart.
