Freelancer Theo Kolehmainen was one of the stars of Beazt Fight Night in Tallinn.

Making a hard climb in a freestyle match Theo Kolehmainen, 26, returned to the freestyle cage after being on the sidelines for six months due to a leg injury.

The injury was not visible in the cage when Kolehmainen won Komar Daran in a three-round penalty shootout by unanimous decision.

The match was close to the end already in the opening set, when the stranglehold was tight.

– Yes, Komar seemed to raise his hand already, and I was sure he would applaud [luovutuksen merkiksi]. If it was tight, many would have applauded. I tried to fix it, and Komar said that “I can breathe Theo, it’s not worth strangling anymore”, Kolehmainen laughed to Iltalehte.

Dara’s tactic at the very beginning was to kick the leg. However, the fighter known by the nickname “Ei leiki” assures that there was no pain in the leg and it does not bother him anymore.

Komar clearly thought it was painful. He was probably trying to freak out too. I didn’t think about it at all.

Now having taken his fourth professional victory, once and for all Makwan to Amirkhan the defeated Kolehmainen revealed his further plans.

He plans to travel to England, where he would, among other things, go to feel a star known from the UFC by Paddy Pimblett to go.

– Yes, I was thinking of flying there cheaply and relatively quickly. I’m going to go there to Liverpool.

Kolehmainen has a contract with Ice Cage, but the deal allows him to fight abroad. That’s why he was now seen in Beazt Fight, which was in Estonia.

– This was a different experience. The first match outside of Finland, even though it was in Tallinn. The trips, hotels, overnight stays and arrangements were top notch. The card was interesting, there were all sorts of things, Kolehmainen commented on Beazt’s premiere.

Kolehmainen was next seen in the cage in September without setbacks. He is supposed to compete at the Ice Cage in Turku at that time.
