The 32-year-old man from Oldenbroek who was found dead on the A67 near Lierop on the night of May 31, died in a tragic accident. The police reported this after an investigation. The man had entered the highway on foot.
The accident was reported to the police around one o’clock at night by the driver of a car that had hit the victim on the A67 from Eindhoven to Venlo near Lierop.
The injuries the victim suffered led police to believe that he had previously been hit by another vehicle, police said earlier. Later investigation revealed that he entered the highway on foot.
Tragic accidentl
The police reported on Friday that the investigation into his death has been completed. “The investigation revealed no crime. We therefore call it a tragic accident,” a spokesperson said.
Because there is no crime but an accident, the police are not releasing any more information about what happened to the man.
