The municipality is now providing details about how they see the future for the site. There will be walking and cycling paths and a lookout tower. It should also become the place to buffer water in a controlled flood area and protect the village area against flooding. Moorslede hopes that it can become the beating heart of Dadizele again.
The land is owned by the municipality of Moorslede, approximately eight hectares in size. The province will in turn take care of the construction and financing, 1.6 million euros.
