Linkin Park starts in the Allianz Arena Munich. Which songs are on the setlist? A look at previous tour stops shows: surprises are guaranteed.
The day has come: the first of two Linkin Park concerts starts in Munich. On Thursday, June 11th and Friday, June 12th, the Americans will play in the Allianz Arena in Munich. Above all, Munich residents can look forward to the hustle and bustle of traffic in the evening – but a different topic dominates among concert goers: What are Linkin Park performing live?
After two concerts in Hamburg, a festival weekend at Rock im Park and Rock am Ring and an evening in Vienna, there have already been several glimpses of the set list. Can a reliable plan be derived from this for the next two nights? Probably not. Because Linkin Park are always good for a surprise.
Setlist with a surprise effect
A closer look at the set lists of the previous tour stops quickly makes it clear: Emily Armstrong, Mike Shinoda and Co. do not stick to a repetitive dramaturgy. The order of the sets varies slightly from concert to concert and rotates – songs change places, some are swapped out entirely. So fans can expect some surprises.
An overview of what changed between the two Hamburg concerts: While “Crawling” was the second song on the first evening, it was completely missing on the second date. “Casualty”, on the other hand, was only heard at the second gig. Additionally, “Unshatter” gave way to “From the Inside.” “A Place for my Head” and “Points of Authority” were also reserved for June 3rd. Linkin Park played “Good Things Go” and “Over Each Other” on June 1st.
While Linkin Park are re-rolling the sequences and not all tracks remain predictable, some classics can be counted on: hits like “In the End” and “The Emptiness Machine” will almost certainly get their due appearance on both evenings. Munich can also hope for two varied set lists that are not the same in all places.
Funny playlist?
Another surprise moment: Shortly before the concert begins, humorous songs from the tape sometimes play in the stadium. So Hamburg got an “I’d Like a Hamburger” interlude at the first show. Is there now a “scandal in the restricted area” in Munich? Or maybe the FC Bayern anthem? Speculation can continue – after all, it would be boring if the fans could already predict everything.
