Finnish TV viewers are appalled by MTV’s actions. MTV showed the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup as the only one in Finland on Thursday evening.
The opening ceremony was shown both on the MTV3 free channel and on the paid Katsomo+ service. Viewers who watched the broadcast on the free-to-air channel have expressed their displeasure on social media that the channel showed a lot of commercials during the shows. For example, a pop icon Shakira’s the show was missed by many because of the commercials.
