Harry Kane’s contract with FC Bayern ends in the summer of 2027 and the Munich team is seeking an extension is an open secret. There are few doubts about successful negotiations, but the result will apparently not be favorable for the German soccer record champions.
“Sport Bild” confirms that Harry Kane and FC Bayern are interested in continuing their collaboration beyond the summer of 2027. Concrete discussions have not yet taken place, but according to the report it is already becoming apparent that the Munich team will have to increase Kane’s salary again.
The captain of the English national team is currently reportedly earning around 25 million euros a year, making him the top earner in the German Bundesliga. However, the requirements for an upgrade are still present.
The sports magazine points out that Kane will be negotiating his last major contract at the age of 32 and that top clubs have already shown interest in the goalscorer. If Kane makes people sit up and take notice with strong performances at the World Cup in the USA, Mexico and Canada, his negotiating position would become even better. The conditions for a new top salary would undoubtedly be created.
FC Bayern star eager for the World Cup
Kane recently made it clear at least once that he is looking forward to the World Cup: “Playing for England is what I enjoy doing most. I wear the jersey with great pride. Leading another team at a World Cup is a very special feeling. We go into the tournament with high expectations,” said Kane on “ITV”. He is “physically and mentally” in the shape of his life.
The Three Lions will face Croatia (June 17th), Panama (June 23rd) and Ghana (June 27th) in Group L. “The World Cup is the biggest tournament ever and I can’t wait to get started,” said Kane.
