A bicycle thief was arrested on Sunday morning within barely fifteen minutes after stealing a bicycle on the Midden-Brabantweg in Loon op Zand. The police were tipped off that the 57-year-old man from Tilburg tried to steal the bicycle.
The reporter informed the police that the thief had put the bicycle in a car. The police then saw the car driving and stopped it. A bicycle was indeed found in the car.
Exactly eleven minutes after the report, the 57-year-old Tilburg citizen was arrested. “Whether it is a personal record of the officers is unknown. In any case, it was quick,” the police say. The owner of the bicycle is still being sought.
