Several people were injured in a short but fierce house fire in Eindhoven. Some residents had to be rescued from their home by the fire brigade using an aerial platform.
At least five ambulances responded to the fire. Ambulance personnel did triage on the street. This means that care providers determine who needs medical help first. Several people were given oxygen.
Five people suffered smoke inhalation. Five people suffered smoke inhalation. According to the safety region, two of them will probably have to go to the hospital for a check-up.
The fire raged at the back of the house. Nothing is yet known about the cause.
Several homes in the street have been evacuated. The street is closed and full of fire trucks.
