The excitement of the general assembly with extraordinary elections continues in Fenerbahçe. Following the statements and acquittal votes made on Saturday, members of the general assembly are going to the polls for the presidential election today.
CHAIRMAN OF THE SESSION ŞEKIP MOSTUROĞLU
The presidential council election was held on the first day of the general assembly. Current president Sadettin Saran and both presidential candidates Aziz Yıldırım and Hakan Safi nominated Şekip Mosturoğlu to manage the presidential council.
After the voting, Şekip Mosturoğlu chaired the general assembly with his delegation.
ALI KOÇ AND SADETTIN SARAN WERE RELEASED
In the extraordinary general assembly of Fenerbahçe Club, the terms of Ali Koç and Sadettin Saran were discharged from administrative and financial aspects.
Following the election of Şekip Mosturoğlu to the General Assembly Presidency Council at the general assembly at Chobani Stadium, the activity and audit board reports were read.
The activity reports between 1 June 2025 and 21 September 2025, covering the period of former president Ali Koç, were read by former manager Burak Kızılhan, and the reports between 22 September 2025 and 28 February 2026, covering the Sadettin Saran period, were read by club general secretary Orhan Demirel.
The general assembly members discharged both terms from administrative and financial aspects by majority vote.
AZIZ YILDIRIM AND HAKAN SAFI WILL COMPETE
Voting for the presidential election at the general assembly takes place today.
44 thousand 741 members will be able to vote in the voting process, which will be held in 45 ballot boxes between 10.00 and 17.00.
After the voting process is completed, the ballot boxes will be opened en masse and the votes will be counted under the leadership of the chairman of the general assembly council. At the end of the day, the chairman of the general assembly council will announce the new president of the yellow-dark blue club.
TWO PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES
Two candidates will compete at the congress for the presidency of Fenerbahçe Club.
Former president Aziz Yıldırım and presidential candidate Hakan Safi will seek the votes of the members to become the 35th president of Fenerbahçe Club.
HIGH PARTICIPATION IS EXPECTED
High participation is expected in the extraordinary general assembly with elections.
Around 30 thousand members are expected to vote in the congress. In the yellow-dark blue team, 21 thousand 350 members voted in 2018, 27 thousand 489 in 2024 and 24 thousand 732 in 2025.
