Actress Paris Jackson is said to have saved her father, pop star Michael Jackson, from the situation that took his life in 2003.
This is revealed in a new episode of The Art of Dialogue podcast. Matt Fiddes, the pop star’s bodyguard from 1999-2009, is a guest in the episode.
– Michael almost died in 2003. The doctor gave the medicine to Michael and he was barely breathing, Fiddes recalls in the podcast Alright! Magazine by.
– Paris, his daughter, brought it to our attention, Fiddes adds.
According to Fiddes, Michael did not want medication because it would have become global news
In his last years, Michael’s life was also colored by severe stress, legal battles, accusations and chronic insomnia, which worsened over time.
Fiddes notes that he often helped Michael find ways to rest. These also included over-the-counter sleeping pills. In the podcast, however, Fiddes describes a point that worried him about Michael’s activities.
– I came to his hotel room and I was scared because he swallowed them, Fiddes describes.
According to Fiddes, the amount consumed significantly exceeded the recommended amount.
“I was like, wow, I feel like you should take two five-milliliter teaspoons of it, Mike,” Fiddes says.
– He said “no, I have to get it. I’m not sleeping. I have an important meeting in the morning where people are flying in,” Fiddes describes Michael’s words.
According to Fiddes, Michael drank two bottles of the medicine and did not sleep all night.
As the situation escalated, Michael began working with doctor Conrad Murray. Murray reportedly oversaw Michael’s sleep and was paid $150,000, or just over €128,000 a month.

Murray was convicted in 2011 of manslaughter when he administered the anesthetic Propofol that contributed to Michael’s death.
