The body of the 53-year-old man from the municipality of Koggenland was discovered on Monday evening, May 25, in a ditch near Julianastraat in Avenhorn. The police have since been unable to provide any information about the cause of his death, but investigations now show that he died as a result of a ‘tragic accident’.
Personal items found
Police also searched for his personal belongings, such as his phone, wallet and a set of keys. They were eventually found nearby. “Police would like to thank everyone who shared tips,” police said.
