Having lost Vlahovic, who will leave on a free transfer, and the other attackers in the squad have been rejected by Spalletti, the Bianconeri absolutely need to bring a “nine” to Turin soon. Exchanging the Canadian for the Frenchman from PSG could be beneficial for both clubs
At this point, in Spalletti’s words, a center forward at Juve “is as good as hot cakes”. In fact, probably even two. The breakdown of negotiations for the renewal of Dusan Vlahovic’s contract and his departure on a free transfer on 30 June, in the Juventus coach’s mind, leaves his squad practically without a number “nine”: Openda and David have failed, Milik is unreliable from a physical point of view. And it makes it increasingly urgent to complete the negotiations with PSG for Kolo Muani’s return to Turin.

The two clubs have already met in Budapest on the sidelines of the Champions League final and PSG reiterated its valuation: 30 million and permanent transfer. A new summit is expected soon and Juve is counting on the strong will of the French striker. After the disappointing adventure at Tottenham, in fact, Kolo Muani insists on returning to Turin, where he found himself happy from a personal, team and sporting point of view: the 10 goals in 22 appearances are clear proof of this. Thus, among the folds of the negotiation, a hypothesis is making its way which, in economics, would be defined as a “win-win” situation. That is, an agreement thanks to which both parties satisfy their interests: the exchange between Jonathan David and Randal Kolo Muani. But what could make such a solution feasible?

Meanwhile, the situation of the two strikers for their respective clubs: the Frenchman is redundant for the Parisians, the Canadian (although respected by the Juventus managers) has almost definitively been rejected by Luciano Spalletti. In short, both teams would get rid of a problem. Furthermore, in Paris the transfer man is Luis Campos who discovered Jonathan David at Genk in 2020, bringing him to Lille. The Portuguese sporting director knows Juve’s number 30 very well, he has experienced first-hand the Canadian’s difficulties in settling into his first year in Ligue 1 and is aware that he has not expressed his full potential in black and white. Of course, he must convince Luis Enrique, who already has Dembélé as a starting center forward and Gonçalo Ramos as an alternative. From an economic point of view, then, both PSG and Juve would benefit from it: if a valuation of 30 million were to be given to the cards of the two players (who already have similar wages of around 6 million a year), the French would not record capital losses for a player who was overpaid three years ago and arrived two years away from the deadline, while the Bianconeri would realize a substantial capital gain thanks to the fact that the Canadian arrived a year ago on a free transfer. And, thanks to Vlahovic’s departure, which will free up over 40 million between amortization and gross salary, there would also be room in the Juventus budget for a second level “nine”.
