Kennet Eichhorn has become one of the most hotly traded transfer stocks in German football in the Hertha BSC jersey in 2025/26. Top clubs like Borussia Dortmund or FC Bayern are said to have the midfielder on their radar. A demand from the German junior national player is now intended to force BVB out of the market.
Despite a long break due to an ankle injury as well as a yellow card and a red card suspension, Kennet Eichhorn played 19 competitive games for Hertha BSC in 2025/26. Among other things, the youngster became the youngest goalscorer in German second division history.
Values that, garnished with a manageable release clause, have ensured that Eichhorn should be on the list at many top clubs. However, BVB is said to be thinking about withdrawing from poker.
Although “Sport Bild” reports that the rumored exit clause in Eichhorn’s contract is just nine million euros, the talent and his representatives are said to be demanding around ten million euros in hand money for signing with a new club. FC Bayern, FC Liverpool and Co. will probably not be deterred
According to the report, this demand from BVB is simply considered excessive. The Black and Yellow bosses should still be open to a deal if Eichhorn decides on the prospect of good sporting development. If money is the focus, people will stay out of the negotiations.
The situation is apparently different for the competition. Liverpool FC, for example, is said to regard the alleged demand for hand money as just a “side note”. Bayer Leverkusen and FC Bayern should also continue to try their luck.
