While Nathaniel Brown is looking forward to the 2026 World Cup with the DFB team, his future at the club is open. Coaches and sports directors are paying attention.
When he was introduced as the new coach of Eintracht Frankfurt on Monday, Adi Hütter spoke openly about the future of Nathaniel Brown. The 22-year-old left-back is under contract with Eintracht Frankfurt for four more years – his market value is estimated at 40 million euros.

The trigger was Brown’s performance in the German national team’s 4-0 international win against Finland on Sunday. Hütter had not followed the game, but made his comments clear. “He’s a great player, a modern full-back. With his speed he’s perfect for big clubs and an object of desire,” he made no secret of the interest from other clubs.

Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche indicated that Eintracht would not be able to keep every top performer this summer. “We have to generate transfer revenue,” he emphasized. “We want to reduce the squad to 17 or 18 players who are at a certain level. We want to fill the rest with young players. It’s too early to say whether we’ll be able to do that.”
Brown could continue to play his way into the notepads of other clubs with strong performances at the World Cup finals. In recent months, David Raum seemed to be set as the German left-back, but he recently had to step down due to groin problems. Brown therefore moved into the starting line-up in the test against Finland on Sunday and was able to impress.
