Borussia Mönchengladbach is pushing ahead with squad planning for the new season: According to a media report, the Foals are currently talking to second division striker Isac Lidberg and his club Darmstadt 98 about a transfer.

31 goals in 58 games – Isac Lidberg’s quota in the last two seasons of the 2nd Bundesliga is impressive. In his debut year, the Swede was successful 14 times, and in the recently ended season he netted 17 times.

Clubs at home and abroad have long been courting the 27-year-old, who is only tied to SV Darmstadt until 2027 and would supposedly be available for around five million euros.

According to Sky, one of these interested parties is Borussia Mönchengladbach. But that’s not all: According to reports, discussions are currently underway between Lidberg, Darmstadt and the Fohlen about a change.

Spicy: It wasn’t until Monday afternoon that the Lilies had to cope with the loss of their other goal getter. Fraser Hornby surprisingly joined Bundesliga relegated VfL Wolfsburg for a transfer fee of four million euros.

Gladbach transfer plans are progressing

After a largely disappointing season, the Borussia bosses want to rebuild the squad this summer. Therefore, four new signings have already been made in the past few weeks.

Enzo Leopold (Hannover 96), Yukhym Konoplya (Schachtar Donetsk) and Daniel Batz (FSV Mainz 05) are coming to the Lower Rhine free of charge, while David Herold (Karlsruher SC) was due 3.5 million euros.

By selling Rocco Reitz to RB Leipzig for 20 million euros, Gladbach has the necessary financial resources to drive forward the change. We are still looking for several positions.

It was only recently confirmed that Eugen Polanski will remain in office and will continue to train the Fohlenelf in 2026/2027. The ex-professional replaced the hapless Gerardo Seoane in September and led Borussia to stay in the league. However, he didn’t get any consistency in the team’s performance either.
