Eczacıbaşı Dynavit added Japanese spiker Mayu Ishikawa to its squad as part of its new season structuring.

Continuing its new season transfer efforts, Eczacıbaşı Dynavit continues to strengthen its squad. Eczacıbaşı recently signed Japanese spiker Mayu Ishikawa. Club Manager Bilun Yılmaz said about the transfer: “We believe that Mayu Ishikawa, who has taken on an important responsibility as the Captain of the Japan National Team, will add a lot to our team with her experience, game discipline and leadership. We think that the experience she has gained at the international level will be very valuable for us in the new season. We believe that she will play an important role in achieving our goals with her stability on the field and high game intelligence.”

WHO IS MAYU ISHIKAWA?

Spiker Mayu Ishikawa, born in 2000, one of the important representatives of Japanese volleyball, played for Toray Arrows, Il Bisonte Firenze and Igor Gorgonzola Novara in her career. Ishikawa, who achieved important successes in the Japan League, Empress’ Cup, Kurowashiki Tournament and CEV Cup in his club career, joined the Eczacıbaşı Dynavit squad with the experience he gained in the Japanese and Italian leagues.

Ishikawa, who played with the Japan National Team in organizations such as the Volleyball Nations League (VNL), World Championship and Olympics, became one of the key players of his team, especially with his ball control, defensive discipline and fast attack variations. He was considered one of Japan’s most prominent players during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
