It’s Monza the twentieth team to take part in the next Serie A championship: the Lombard team thus follows Venice and Frosinone who had obtained direct promotion, finishing in the first two places in the Serie B table after 38 matchdays. The new Serie A will be made up as follows (we list the teams in the order of the final position of the 2025-26 season): Inter (Italian champions), Naples, Rome, Como, Milan, Juventus, Atalanta, Bologna, Lazio, Udinese, Sassuolo, Turin, Parma, Cagliari, Fiorentina, Genoa, Lecce, to which we add Venice, Frosinone and Monza.

The next championship will start on 23 August and end on 30 May 2027. Two midweek rounds (28 October and 6 January), a Christmas break on 27 December and only three windows for the national teams, with the novelty that the usual September and October breaks will be combined into a single solution which will stop the national championships for 20 days. There will therefore be no games played on September 27th or October 4th. Stops also scheduled for November 15th and March 28th 2027.
