Joost Klein (28) narrowly missed out on winning the final of the Belgian version as a coach on Friday evening The Voice. His pupil Maëlla Moquet, a real estate student, did not live up to her role as favorite.

Maëlle (20), who was already in the final of 2018 The Voice Kidscompeted against 17-year-old Bas in the final phase on Friday evening.

That still caused some unrest. After his impressive rendition of Sign of the times Harry Styles made him feel light-headed and had to sit down and drink water. Meanwhile, his fans in the audience were moved to tears. He eventually won.

The evening did not go smoothly for Maëlle either. An earlier performance of hers had to be canceled due to technical problems. From the bedroom

Whether she has won or not, Maëlle is ready to enter the country as an artist tomorrow, according to Joost. He thinks her singing talent should leave her bedroom. “I feel honored that you have been able to assist me in this process. I have also started singing better because of you.”

The singer recorded it for Klein earlier in the day. “He sometimes seems like a strange guy in the media, but I don’t know him that way at all. He is super social, empathetic and inspiring. And a really cool guy. He did everything to support me and really listened to what I wanted.”
