A fat bike driver was fined on Sunday afternoon for driving his fat bike at 100 kilometers per hour. The Boxtel, Vught, Sint-Michielsgestel police reported this on Instagram.
Officially, you can drive a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour on a fat bike. Fat bikes are known for being often souped up. The police have not announced exactly where the driver was fined.
The driver was given a fine and the bicycle was confiscated. The public prosecutor ultimately decides whether the bicycle will be returned.
A day earlier, the Boxtel, Vught, Gestel police also took a driver on a fat bike off the road. This person was riding the same model and this person was going 35 miles per hour. This driver was also fined and the bicycle was seized.
