Eintracht Frankfurt is apparently serious about the first personnel appointments for the coming season. As “Het Nieuwsblad” reports, the Hessians are planning a new million-dollar offer for Mihajlo Cvetkovic from RSC Anderlecht. The 19-year-old center forward is worth 12 million euros to the Bundesliga club – twice his current market value.

Frankfurt and SC Freiburg were already interested in signing the offensive talent last winter. At that time, the Belgian club is said to have rejected an initial Eintracht offer of 10 million euros. However, the SGE stuck with it and now wants to complete the transfer at the second attempt. The club has so far spent this same amount – at least 12 million euros – on new acquisitions nine times.
However, the daily newspaper reports that Eintracht’s chances of RSC Anderlecht giving in to the improved conditions are still not great. Cvetkovic, who has already made his debut for the Serbian national team, is currently concentrating on the U19 European Championships at the end of June.

The attacker still has a contract until June 2029 and has scored 13 times in 39 games across all competitions this season. A year ago, Anderlecht paid 3.2 million euros to Cvetkovic’s hometown club Cukaricki. The offensive man is the most valuable center forward under the age of 20 in the Jupiler Pro League.
Frankfurt fan “Hesse_Schosch” would not particularly approve of the attacker’s transfer, he wrote about the rumor in the TM forum: “That would be a wrong message to Alexander Staff (17), Keito Kumashiro (18) and Kaan Inanoglu (20). We already have the talents behind Jonathan Burkardt (25) and Younes Ebnoutalib (22). In addition, Elye Wahi (23) and Noel Futkeu are returning (23) back, even if both are candidates for departure. We should rather invest the money in other positions, for example in midfield.
