FC Barcelona has apparently prevailed against FC Bayern in the Anthony Gordon poker game. The Catalans probably want to finalize the transfer on Thursday. Meanwhile, more and more details are coming out.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Gordon has signed a five-year contract with FC Barcelona. The medical check is scheduled to take place on Thursday.

Barca and Newcastle United have apparently agreed on a fixed fee of 70 million euros. There could also be bonuses of up to ten million euros. According to the Spanish sports newspaper, these depend on possible title wins and Gordon’s game participation under coach Hansi Flick.

FC Bayern apparently tried again

As the English portal “The Chronicle” writes, both FC Barcelona and FC Bayern are said to have submitted an offer to Newcastle United on Wednesday. The Munich-based company ultimately withdrew from poker, according to the corresponding report. Gordon is expected to receive a salary of around 346,000 euros per week from the Spanish champions, which would correspond to an annual salary of around 18 million euros.

The left winger contributed 17 goals and five assists in 46 competitive games for Newcastle United last season. His contract in northern England runs until 2030. However, the fact that Gordon is about to leave has been an open secret for days.

The English World Cup driver has been considered a hot transfer candidate for FC Bayern in recent weeks. Munich’s sports director Max Eberl had made no secret of his fundamental interest in Gordon.

It seems that FC Bayern now has to look for an alternative on the transfer market. The German record champions reportedly want to add another option to their offensive this summer.
