René van der Gijp’s wife creates tension in the Curaçao edition of Today Inside, the Story headlines on its cover. What’s going on? Will Minouche van der Gijp cause trouble again?

Minouche van der Gijp is not exactly an easy aunt. She ensured that René van der Gijp took a day off work at Today Inside – their marriage was on the verge of collapse and had to be saved with a VI-free Wednesday – but she also caused controversy by interfering in the media with VI’s guest policy.

Minoes on Curaçao

Suddenly we heard Minouche speak out fanatically against inviting Telegraaf journalist Wierd Duk. René’s wife thought it was unacceptable for him to sit at the table at VI. Apparently she also spoke to René about this, because at a certain point he no longer wanted to sit next to Wierd. That is why Wierd is only present on the Gijp-free Wednesday.

Anyway: now Minouche has also gone to Curaçao, where the VI studio is currently located, and there the Story are concerned about. Is she now trying to call the shots there too?

Increase tension

The Story put Minouche on the cover. “René’s wife who traveled along previously added fuel to the fire,” it says. “Will TENSION on Curaçao drive VI trio apart for good?”

According to the magazine, the Curaçao trip is a ‘minefield’ for the VI trio. “Will René still side with his obstinate wife Minouche?” reads the headline above the article itself.

Interference

Johan is annoyed by Minouche, the Story knows. “Minouche, René’s wife, has come to Curaçao, and Johan previously stated that he did not appreciate her involvement in their program.”

The magazine points out that she called Wierd an ‘inhumane crackpot’. Will that lead to tensions behind the scenes, where Minouche and Johan will undoubtedly see each other? According to the Story, it could just be possible.

Bomb burst

According to the Story it would not be unique. “If the bomb explodes in Curaçao, there will be a repeat of moves between Wilfred, René and Johan. This also happened in 2014 when the gentlemen fought a public argument with each other around their World Cup talk show VI Oranje, which was broadcast from Scheveningen.”

“Wilfred, René and Johan later settled their dispute. It is hoped that an argument will not arise again during their stay in Curaçao.”
