During the DFB Cup victory
Bayern star misses cabin party: “That should be banned”

Bayern Munich’s Konrad Laimer is not very enthusiastic about a measure by the DFB. Things get amusing when asked about his salary demands.
Konrad Laimer missed FC Bayern’s dressing room party after the 3-0 win in the DFB Cup final against VfB Stuttgart and clearly expressed his displeasure about it. “I was alone in the doping room. That should be forbidden, the shit that you have to dope after winning the cup,” he said with a broad grin in the mixed zone after the game. He was in the dressing room for less than two seconds and was happy that the team didn’t leave the stadium without him.

“I missed the chance and they still got me for doping,” he vented his anger, visibly amused. Shortly after half-time, he missed the opportunity to make it 2-0, completely free in front of the Stuttgart goal. And yet Laimer drew a positive conclusion: “The game was great, but after that it was shit. I hope things are looking up again now.” Because this season with two titles must be “celebrated accordingly”.
Laimer: “Maybe Austria will become world champion”
In recent weeks, Laimer has been in the spotlight due to his unclear future in Munich. His contract runs until the summer of 2027, but negotiations have so far stalled because there is no agreement on salary issues.

Uli Hoeneß also commented on this on Dazn a few weeks ago. “He works incredibly hard for the team. But he’s not Maradona. And players like that have to accept that there are limits.” However, Laimer was relaxed after the cup success: “Uli and I have always been on the same wavelength. That’s not a problem anyway.” He is relaxed, feels “really comfortable” in Munich and wants to win “a few more titles”.
