LOOK. Starmer does not want to resign

Alex Davies-Jones (Responsible for Victims), Jess Phillips (Violence against Women) and Zubir Ahmed (Health) announced earlier today that they are leaving the Starmer government.

Earlier, Miatta Fahnbulleh, the Minister of Decentralization, Faith and Communities, had also announced her resignation.

“Lost confidence”

In her resignation letter, Davies-Jones calls on the Prime Minister to “act in the best interests of the country” and set a timetable for his departure from Downing Street. “The country has spoken and we must listen,” the minister said.

Phillips, in turn, complains about the lack of necessary changes. “I think you are essentially a good man who cares about the right things. But I have now seen for myself that that is not enough,” she writes in her resignation letter. Finally, Ahmed claims that the British have “irretrievably lost” confidence in Starmer.
