Hélène Hendriks is far from the new Linda de Mol. She started yesterday as presenter of the large-scale Staatsloterij show, but scored below Tina Nijkamp’s expectations.

TV authority Tina Nijkamp had bet on a score of up to 800,000 viewers for the new Staatsloterij show with Hélène Hendriks. The presenter competed yesterday – it was Super Saturday because several programs started at the same time – against The Connection on NPO 1 and the new formula The House of Hide & Seek on RTL 4.

No mega figures

Tina thinks all the scores are a bit disappointing. “It was Super Saturday and so it is an exciting viewing morning for the channel bosses. What won? The Connection, The House of Hide and Seek or De Staatsloterij Show?”, she writes on her analysis channel.

She continues: “As I expected, the scores are very close to each other and are not millions of scores. The Connection on NPO 1 wins with 717 thousand viewers, The Staatsloterij Show on SBS 6 recorded 594 thousand viewers and The House of Hide and Seek on RTL 4 was just below that: 590 thousand viewers.”

Disappointment

It is a disappointment, says Tina. “I think that both RTL 4 and SBS 6 had hoped for slightly higher total scores. RTL 4 in particular will be disappointed that it is number three while it could have been promoted so incredibly well in the Voice final.”

According to Tina, the RTL 4 show was watched by only 69 percent of people, while the Staatsloterij show held more people: 83 percent. The RTL 4 show did have much younger viewers than the elderly people that Hélène attracted.

The conclusion? “It’s going to be very exciting next week!!!!”
