Renze Klamer causes a lot of annoyance in the Shownieuws studio. Junior celebrity expert Jordi Versteegden thinks he is egocentric, but Dyantha Brooks thinks that is exaggerated. “Colored.”

With two interviews this weekend, Renze Klamer hopes to eliminate the image problem that has arisen around him due to tough public attacks from his direct colleagues Beau van Erven Dorens and Humberto Tan. They have portrayed him as a tailor and thus indirectly put their own employer RTL 4 in a quite difficult position.

Jordi dissatisfied

After all, Renze has to become the man who will pull RTL 4’s late evening out of the doldrums and then it doesn’t help if colleagues try to bring him down. The sore point? Beau and Humberto find it not done that when the termination of RTL Tonight was announced, Renze made a talk show table joke in a message on Instagram.

It all came about quite innocently, Renze explains in those two interviews. He was traveling in China, wanted to post something quickly, thought he was making an innocent joke, even submitted it to RTL and then it was too late. However, Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden is not satisfied with that explanation.

Not empathetic

Jordi thinks that Renze is not empathetic. “We are dealing with someone who lacks empathy and still puts it down to someone else. He knew damn well what kind of program this would become.”

Presenter Dyantha Brooks thinks differently. She points out that Renze is young and chooses herself. “Do you want him to get on his knees and say: ‘I should have handled things differently towards Beau and Humberto’, or can he stand up for his own career?”

‘What bothers you?’

Jordi answers affirmatively. “Everyone can stand for their own career.”

Dyantha doesn’t understand him. “What bothers you about his behavior?”

Jordi is about that Insta-mail which he posted during his holiday in China. “He now blames it on that, that it is because he was there. He says: ‘It was bad timing’, while this has nothing to do with timing. You are dealing with presenters who did stay there. Then you just don’t post this. Period.”

“You support him!”

Dyantha thinks Jordi is overly strict. “But can it coexist? That he was just very proud to announce this, but maybe it was insensitive?”

Jordi is annoyed by his colleague. “I think you are now really supporting him in this.”

Dyantha: “I don’t support him, but I do want to show you the other side, because you are very adamant: ‘We are dealing with someone who has no self-reflection!’ But doesn’t a story have multiple sides?

“It’s crazy!”

Jordi berates Renze. “It’s strange, isn’t it? For six months you were able to spend a nice holiday with your children at the boss’s expense, and then Beau and Humberto took over from him and then you start making fun of that table that was the subject of all those months.”

Dyantha sighs: “You are also very colored in this. You say: ‘For six months you were able to sit at home with your children at the boss’s expense’, but you can also say: ‘Despite the fact that you have a lot of talent, you had to sit at home for six months and not be able to work.’”

What Renze should have done according to Jordi? “Take one for the team.
