Over time, rumors about Dennis Diekmeier’s new relationship increased. “I saw your husband” and “I saw your dad,” the children were told – the family lives in a small village near Sandhausen. “Everyone knows him,” reported Dana Diekmeier and also gave insights into the relationship between Dennis and his cancer-stricken daughter.
“Delani hasn’t had any contact with him for weeks because he lied to her, because he denied having a new woman even though people saw him everywhere,” said Dana Diekmeier. Delani asked her father to stay with the family and allegedly said: “Dad, please don’t. Don’t lie to me. Choose me and not her.” Dana Diekmeier also reported a break in contact between Delani and Dennis Diekmeier.
The 36-year-old played for Hamburger SV from 2010 to 2018 and for SV Sandhausen from 2019. He ended his career in the summer of 2024. Dennis Diekmeier was then part of the SVS coaching staff for several months. Now he is confronted with serious allegations from his long-time wife. “I just want the truth to come to light, that I’m not the stupid one, that the children are protected,” said Dana Diekmeier and added: “If he now runs into the public and tells lies, then I’ll just make it clear.”
