OLYMP Bezner KG in Bietigheim-Bissingen (Ludwigsburg district, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) has published its sustainability report for 2025. The family business is thus continuing the voluntary reporting on its sustainability activities in the areas of environmental, social and corporate governance that began ten years ago. The current report not only documents the intensive commitment to sustainability of the internationally known clothing manufacturer. It is also a clear commitment to entrepreneurial commitment in challenging times.
“Responsibility is only a value when it is lived up to.” This quote from Mark Bezner, owner and CEO of OLYMP Bezner KG, not only shapes the report that has now been published, but also determines the clothing specialist’s self-image for the coming years. The continued commitment to sustainability is proving to be a model of success in view of the ongoing challenges posed by global crises in the 2025 reporting year with consequences for the economy and society. “We are convinced that sustainability and responsibility make a significant contribution to overcoming the challenges of our time,” says Johann Trischberger, operational managing director of OLYMP Bezner KG. “Companies have looked at regulations and the associated costs for too long. But sustainability has one goal above all: to protect our environment and the climate and at the same time take responsibility for people. This is essential so that we and future generations can look forward to a future worth living,” says Johann Trischberger, describing OLYMP’s motivation.
With voluntary reporting, the company consciously seeks comparability with other companies that are required to report and transparently documents the impact of its business activities on the environment and society. The comprehensive sustainability declaration is based on the European CSRD directive (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and discloses the data points specified by the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), provided they are recorded.
The focus of the 2025 report is on ecological and social criteria in product development and production. OLYMP relies on close cooperation with partners in the global supply chain, some of whom have been with us for many years, in order to widely promote climate and environmental protection as well as fairer working conditions. In this way, the Swabian family business is also meeting the changing needs of its customers. More sustainable product features are becoming increasingly important purchasing criteria and bind target groups more closely to the brand in the long term. From autumn 2026, OLYMP will take this path even more consistently and communicate these properties on each individual item via optimized product features and textile labeling according to recognized and reliable certifications.
Since 2014, OLYMP has been regularly informing the public about the standards of working conditions in its own supply chain and how these are ensured and checked via a social and responsibility report. Since 2019, OLYMP has also been reporting transparently on its own climate footprint for the company headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen in the form of a location report. Both documents were combined with the first OLYMP sustainability report in 2021. While the fashion brand still based its sustainability reports for 2022 and 2023 on the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the reports for 2024 and 2025 are based on the CSRD.
The new OLYMP Sustainability Report 2025 is available on the OLYMP website.
