Michael van Gerwen was eliminated early on Thursday evening on the fourteenth match night of the Premier League Darts. The Dutchman lost 6-5 to Luke Littler in the quarter-finals in Leeds. The world champion from England is the leader in the Premier League after thirteen evenings.
Littler took a 4-1 lead, after which Van Gerwen managed to win three legs in a row. Despite the comeback of the darts player from Vlijmen, the Englishman was the first to win six legs.
“The only downside today was that there was some wind, you could see that from the doubles,” said Van Gerwen at Viaplay. “After that I got into my game.”
Gian van Veen was also eliminated in the quarter-finals. The Dutchman lost 6-5 to Stephen Bunting from England.
