The German textile and clothing discounter NKD, based in Bindlach (Bavaria), is now launching its app in Germany. NKD launched the app in Austria last year. The company is thus continuing its digital course and now offers its customers digital services in the app such as eBon, a digital NKD card, information on order status as well as offers and special promotions.

“As part of our omnichannel strategy, the increased digital approach to our customers represents a logical next step. Thanks to the new app, they have access to current information about products and offers at any time – compact, immediately available and always up to date,” explains Alexander Schmökel, CEO of the NKD Group.

With 2,178 branches (as of December 31, 2025) in Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic and Poland, its own online shop and over 10,000 employees internationally, the NKD group of companies is one of the largest textile retail companies in Europe.

The NKD Group was just sold by TDR Capital to the Mr Price Group from South Africa on April 1, 2026. In the medium term, NKD plans to expand its branch network to 3,000 locations and thus send a clear signal for organic growth in Europe. The long-term goal is to expand to 4,000 branches across Europe.
