Johan Derksen denies that Talpa is trying to spare him at his age by using Hélène Hendriks extra during the Football World Cup. “Rob Goossens, that old woman, drives me crazy!”
The Football World Cup is about to start and SBS 6 is going all out around the matches. On most nights a live talk show is broadcast twice a night, on some nights even three. Today Inside will be shown from Monday to Thursday, and Hélène Hendriks will do the honors from Friday to Sunday.
‘Going to work!’
TV authority Tina Nijkamp thinks that it will work very well despite the varying broadcast times. “Of course that will work very well. For sure,” she says Today Inside.
Colleague Johan Derksen: “There is no regularity whatsoever. Sometimes this late and other times like this.”
Tina: “It is of course tuned to important matches. That is why it seems irregular, but at that time… NPO 1 of course has all those rights and all those other channels do not matter.”
One hundred percent
According to Tina, these varying broadcast times make no difference. “The moment the match ends, they know: oh, then we have to switch to 6, because then they will be there. Then SBS 6 will have very good viewing figures. It will certainly score. One hundred percent.”
Wilfred Genee: “What do you say: two, three or four times in one evening?”
Tina: “Twice.”
Wilfred: “Johan suggested: three times.”
Crazy about Rob
Johan likes to work, he says. “I went completely crazy about that Rob Goossens, that old woman. He would sit at that Boulevard and tell me: ‘They did it for Hélène to take over for three evenings because Derksen can no longer keep it up.’ Well…”
Wilfred: “Johan wanted seven days a week, but we now have to make more because we make two or three in an evening.”
Johan concludes: “I don’t like this, four days a week. I only start to warm up on the fourth day!”
