Sabina Särkkä recognizes herself as a person who dreams easily. Lately, his mind has been filled with life’s big questions.

Sabina Särkä is going through a busy period. The calendar is filled with work, for example yoga instruction and other projects. The social media influencer can’t even talk about everything yet.

Although there is enough of a rush, Särkä’s essence exudes satisfaction with the present moment.

– Yes, after winter, you notice that when the sun starts to shine more and the days are longer, it affects the mind a lot, Särkkä states.

Amidst the rush, Särkkä has had time to think about the future. Särkä’s mind, which easily dreams about things, has recently been filled with big thoughts about the next direction. Särkkä is now looking for an answer to them.

Children’s dreams

There is one thing in Särkä’s life right now that feels particularly difficult.

So far, adding to the family has not seemed timely to Särkä. Recently, there have been friends in her close circle who are expecting or have had children. It has also brought the topic to the surface for 37-year-old Särkä.

– It does make me wonder if it would be something I would miss in my life. That I’ll regret it later if I don’t even try to have children someday.

Särkkä has also undergone fertility tests this year. Särkä thought it was cleansing to talk to a professional about fertility. It also brought out realities.

– Hoppu can come, Särkkä describes with a laugh.

– But I try to believe that life somehow tends to just sort itself out or go under its own weight. I don’t know if it’s even good to try to force things that don’t feel like one’s own.

Pressure

Questions from family and close friends about having children and life changes have made Särkä think about what he wants in life.

Särkkä doesn’t want to say no to childhood dreams. On the other hand, she is not sure if children would make her happy. He will try to figure it out this year.

The subject arouses reflection from many angles. Särkkä stresses that, of course, you can’t be sure if you’ll even have children.

Sen Särkkä has found that her childlessness is something that many want to ask about.

– People can wonder and question why I wouldn’t necessarily want children or why I’m still not sure about it, says Särkkä.

He states that no one can know the story behind infertility, and things are often not that simple.

– Is it also okay to ask such a question? Särkkä ponders.

– Certainly women get more questioning and questions related to the topic.

Särkkä admits that instead of motherhood, her dreams have been elsewhere.

– It feels like everyone around me dreams of children, a family or an idyllic life. Then I wonder if there’s something wrong with me, when I might not be dreaming about the same things all the time, Särkkä reflects.

– I personally dream of a villa in Italy that I could renovate, hold yoga there and have a million dogs there. Eat pasta and wine with friends, Särkkä laughs.

Residence

One of the things on Särkä’s mind is related to housing.

Särkä, who has been dating her partner for three years, has had a different living arrangement. Särkä owns an apartment in Kallio, while his partner lives in Ullanlinna.

– We are still together every night, and I mostly live in Ullanlinna. I then have an office, a home studio in Kallio, Särkkä states.

The arrangement has worked well for the entrepreneur couple, although Särkkä admits that it is sometimes a bit stressful.

However, things may soon be different. Särkkä says that he looked at housing options together with his partner.

– Yes, it is still at the level of browsing, but we will probably finally make some changes in that direction, Särkkä states.

When a move to a shared apartment is imminent, you hardly need to worry too much about the interior. Särkkä says that she loves vintage-style designer furniture, and her partner also shares the same taste.

– Yes, they probably both dream of a wonderful penthouse, which would be full of all the wonderful vintage furniture, Särkkä laughs.

There are, however, certain frames for apartment dreams. The plan is to stay in Helsinki.

– I think we probably won’t move to a single-family house. Yes, we both like the city, Särkkä states.

Publicity

Särkkä, who became famous from the Miss Finland competition, has been in the public eye for 14 years now. Särkkä admits that over the years he has hardened himself and the importance of privacy has grown.

Keeping the current relationship private is a good example of this.

– Even the public breakup was pretty rough for me, says Särkkä, referring to his previous relationship.

Särkkä has learned to draw boundaries both in public and otherwise. This can be seen, for example, in the fact that he is now doing things in his career that seem important to him.

Särkkä mentions his and Sara Siepin joint podcast, which he brings up many times during the interview.

Särkkä says that he has received feedback that the podcast shows a side of him that is not necessarily visible otherwise in public.

– It’s been a bit of a bummer when I can’t laugh or smile in my pictures, even though otherwise I’m really funny and funny, says Särkkä.

– For me, social media is a bit like a cover image for everything else that happens. I’m sensitive and humorous, but that’s not usually highlighted there, says Särkkä.

Särkkä says that he is inspired by visuals. According to him, his Instagram stories show a more relaxed mood.

– Maybe that own personality and humor should be brought there as a counterweight, Särkkä laughs.

Those sides of Särkä are featured in the podcast. Now Siepi and Särkä’s joint project is on hiatus, and Särkkä does not yet reveal when there will be a possible continuation of the podcast.

But making Särka doesn’t stop. Now is the time to focus on other work projects, traveling and reflections on the surface in life.

When it comes to Särkä’s dreams, one stands above the rest.

– The biggest thing I dream about is happiness, Särkkä states.
