Fenerbahçe Beko beat Beşiktaş GAİN 82-71 in the third match of the Turkish Insurance Basketball Super League play-off final series.

Beşiktaş GAİN started the derby by scoring consecutive baskets from behind the three-point line and Fenerbahçe Beko from under the basket. The black-whites increased the difference to 8 points in the 7th minute with outside shots: 21-13. Although the yellow-dark blue team produced points by using the painted area well against Beşiktaş, whose offensive accuracy decreased in the last part of the quarter, Beşiktaş closed the first period with a 23-19 advantage.

Beşiktaş started the second quarter with Anthony Brown’s three-pointers. Fenerbahçe Beko shared the ball quickly, as in the first period, and scored consecutive baskets from under the basket. The yellow-dark blue team brought balance to the game (31-31) at the end of the 14th minute. The guest team took the lead in the 17th minute against Beşiktaş, which lost its tempo in attack and made consecutive ball losses: 34-37. Fenerbahçe, which was effective with its offensive rebounds, entered the half with a 43-40 lead.

Fenerbahçe started the second half with a 10-2 run and increased the difference to double digits with Hall’s three-point shot in the 23rd minute: 42-53. Responding to its opponent with a 9-2 series, Beşiktaş reduced the difference to 4 points (51-55) in the 27th minute with Dotson’s basket under the basket. Fenerbahçe maintained its scoring advantage in the competitive quarter and went into the final period with a 64-58 advantage.

Fenerbahçe Beko continued its brisk play in attack with Melli and Hall in the last quarter. The black-whites could not close the gap despite Dotson’s efforts. While Beşiktaş was tired in the last part, the yellow-dark blue team entered the last 2 minutes with an 11-point advantage with Horton-Tucker’s three-point field goal: 69-80. Fenerbahçe maintained its superiority in the remaining time and won the derby 82-71.

The yellow-dark blue team took the lead 2-1 in the series.

The fourth match of the final series, in which the team that achieves three wins will become the champion, will be played on Friday, June 19, at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, hosted by Beşiktaş.
