TOriana Grande officially returns to music with a new studio album, Petalwaited for on July 31st. The album arrives soon after Eternal Sunshine e the cinematic success linked to the saga of Wicked. A new beginning, a rebirth that starts from within and marks a new one artistic phase for the pop star: more essential and introspectivecapable of moving away from glossy sound constructions of the past to hug one emotional and organic storytellingcentered on vulnerability.

In the official press release, Ariana Grande described the essence of this eighth chapter as «something full of life growing through the cracks of something cold, hard and difficult». An image that suggests a concept more intimate and resilientin emotional but not stylistic continuity with the previous album. The project features Ariana Grande as executive producer and co-author together with Ilya Salmanzadeh.

The announcement, which arrived via Instagram, was accompanied from the official cover art signed by Katia Temkin. The image shows Ariana Grande in a black and white close-up: eyes closed, a barely visible smile and a suspended expressiveness that immediately conveys a sense of calm and introspection. The aesthetics score one clear evolution compared to previous erasmoving away from the more constructed glamor to get closer to one essential, authentic and deeply emotional visual dimensionin line with the new imagery of Petal.
