Borussia Mönchengladbach is in the red – a loss of 3.9 million euros after taxes. One income item in particular fell significantly.

For the fifth time in six years, Borussia Mönchengladbach has closed a financial year with a loss. The loss after taxes amounts to 3.9 million euros – slightly more than in the previous year. Managing director Stefan Stegemann presented the figures at the general meeting on Monday evening.

TV income fell by almost 5.5 million euros compared to the previous year. The five-time German champion’s equity fell from 48.9 to 44.9 million euros. In 2019 it was 103.3 million euros.

Sales rose from 184 to 189 million euros. The losses in recent years are mainly due to the Corona period.
