With a record number of visitors, Airbeat One in Neustadt-Glewe has concluded. According to the organizers, 210,000 people celebrated at the electronic festival. The motto for 2027 is already set.
After four festival days, Airbeat One was wrapped up at the airport in Neustadt-Glewe (Ludwigslust-Parchim district) on Sunday night. Approximately 210,000 attendees participated this year, marking a historic high. The festival theme revolved around the Netherlands.
Record Attendance for the Electronic Festival
According to organizers, guests traveled from over 60 countries to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Around 350 DJs and artists performed on several stages, showcasing over 465 hours of electronic music. Notable acts included Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Lilly Palmer, Boris Brejcha, and Scooter. The festival concluded with a fireworks display and the last performance on the main stage into the early hours.
The Netherlands Shaped the Festival Grounds
Reflecting the theme “Welkom in Nederland – The Home of Electronic Music!”, the festival grounds were elaborately designed. A main stage, 180 meters wide and 45 meters high, was constructed in the shape of a giant windmill, while another stage was shaped like an oversized lion’s head, nodding to the coat of arms of Holland. Ideal weather prevailed throughout the festival.
2027 Jubilee Under Australian Theme
The theme for the next installment is already confirmed: In 2027, Airbeat One will spotlight Australia. The festival will take place from July 7 to 11, celebrating its 25th anniversary. Additionally, there will be a schedule change: the official festival program will commence on Wednesday, a shift from previous years when only the camper program began on that day.
