Musician Pyhimys, aka Mikko Kuoppala, talked about his difficulties, such as his divorce and financial problems, in an interview with Apu magazine.
According to information from the foreclosure register dated April 17, Pyhimyti has a foreclosure debt of only 920 euros.
During the last two years, he has had 10,000 euros in foreclosure, but they have been almost completely paid, with the exception of 920 euros.
The situation is different for the Kuoppala company Yellowmic Oy.
The company has advanced, unpaid collection and tax debts for a total of about 48,000 euros.
The biggest part of this, 27,800 euros, is unpaid tax debts.
Iltalehti caught up with Kuoppala, who says that the tax debt is actually more than 27,000, the information just doesn’t appear as non-payment notes yet.
– There are invoices in the queue. But when you do work, that’s it, says Kuoppala.
The rest of the non-payment entries are debts owed to debt collection companies and draft protests.
However, Yellowmic’s operations have been successful in recent years. In 2023, it made a profit of 95,060 euros and in 2024, a profit of 58,133 euros was accumulated.
The company’s last year’s financial statements have not been completed yet.
Kuoppala previously told Apu magazine that he has a tax debt of around 70,000 euros. He estimates that his tax debt will finally be paid in 2027.
– It has been agreed with all creditors how things will be handled, Kuoppala assures Iltalehti.
Kuoppala also tells Iltalehti that he is now able to work fully.
– That’s the most important thing. I can also do solo gigs in the summer. The last time I did a solo gig was in 2022, otherwise I’ve only done Teflon Brothers. That is, just dunia.
Pyhimys, who also participated in the Only Life program, is known for both his solo career and his career in Teflon Brothers. At the 2019 Emma gala, Pyhimys won no fewer than six Emma awards. Among other things, he was chosen as male soloist of the year and artist of the year.
Pyhimys will return to the concert stages as a solo artist next summer. Roni Lehti
