FC Bayern is apparently planning a small jersey revolution. Pictures that have now appeared online suggest that the German record champions will have a new and rather unusual look from the 2026/27 season.

FC Bayern fans will apparently have to get used to a new look for the FCB jerseys from the 2026/27 season. The “Footy Headlines” portal published pictures this week showing the record champions’ new outfit.

There is a small but striking detail on the back of the jersey. There is no longer the full club name “FC Bayern Munich” above the player number, but only “FC Bayern”. The name of the city will therefore be deleted without replacement.

This change has not yet been officially confirmed, but “Footy Headlines” has made a very reliable name for itself as a jersey revealer in recent years and was usually correct in its information.

New Bayern jersey in a familiar look

It is not known why FC Bayern chose not to use the name of the city of Munich on their new jersey. The background could be that the club is usually “only” referred to as FC Bayern both in Germany and abroad and not as FC Bayern Munich.

Except for the name change, Bayern fans will be able to enjoy something familiar. According to the “Footy Headlines” revelations, the new home jersey is also in the typical FCB red. The club logo as well as the large T from main sponsor Telekom and the three stripes from supplier adidas can still be seen on the chest. The Allianz Insurance logo is also printed on the sleeve.

The jersey also has vertical stripes that are slightly darker than the rest of the jersey. All in all, small changes that the record champions’ fans will certainly get used to quickly.
