MCM and innovative furniture manufacturer Vetsak have designed a joint collection of collectibles that combines functional design with high-end fashion under the motto “The Landing Pad for the Global Nomad”.

The collaboration, unveiled during Milan Design Week, marks a strategic step in MCM’s 50th anniversary year as the brand evolves into a holistic lifestyle universe, the German luxury brand announced on Tuesday. The heart of the series is the “Backpack Beanbag”, which translates the design of the MCM Stark backpack into comfortable seating. The range is complemented by other pieces made from the characteristic Visetos material as well as the versatile “Noodle”, which serves as an accessory for the living room.

The collaboration aims to redefine the concept of modern luxury by focusing on the conscious moment of calm. Dirk Schönberger, Chief Brand Officer of both brands, emphasizes the strategic relevance: “For our 50th anniversary, we asked ourselves what modern luxury looks like when you live in it.” The connection between identity and interior is also a central trend for Vetsak CEO Max Gansow: “Furniture is no longer just functional – it has become a powerful form of self-expression.”

The collection will premiere at the “Disco on Mars” installation in Milan and will subsequently be available worldwide through Vetsak channels and in selected MCM stores.
