– This is a security matter. I can’t travel abroad anymore. I can’t use my passport. It causes a big problem, says Jenner.
Jenner says that she contacted Trump to clarify her problem. Jenner visited Mar-a-Lago at Trump’s behest a couple of months ago. Since the president wasn’t there himself, Jenner wrote him a letter. In her letter, Jenner offered Trump her help to rectify the situation.
– I haven’t heard from him. He is busy at the moment. My gender marking is not such a big issue for him, I don’t blame him, says Jenner.

Jenner emphasizes that the problem does not only concern her, but all other people in the same situation. Jenner says she has Trump’s personal phone number in her phone, but that she doesn’t want to use her position to gain privileges.
– I don’t blame President Trump. I love him. But for many people this is a huge problem.
Jenner also mentions the Trump administration’s Save America Act, which requires people to show proof of citizenship and photo ID to vote in elections. At the moment, according to Jenner, she does not have an ID valid for voting. Jenner hopes that the legislative initiative will pass.
