Finnish cola drink lovers were shaken today when Hartwall published information about the end of Pepsi production at its factories.

However, the drink is not leaving Finland, but at the beginning of 2029 its production will be transferred to Carlsberg.

The Danish beverage giant owns Sinebrychoff, which currently manufactures Coca-Cola in Finland. Carlsberg says in its press release that its contract to manufacture Coca-Cola expires on the last day of December 2028.

How about Coca-Cola after this?

We contacted Hartwall by phone.

CEO of Hartwall Kalle Järvinen does not comment on the question of whether the brewery will start producing Coca-Cola instead of Pepsi at the beginning of 2029.

Then it’s Coca-Cola Finland’s turn.

Likewise, Coca-Cola Finland’s director of communications Thea Natri refrains from answering questions about the future of Coca-Cola.

– Let’s go according to the stock exchange rules. We haven’t published any information about it yet. We will continue our cooperation normally until the end of 2028, Natri tells Iltalehte on the phone.

He says that at the point when the matter is relevant, we will inform what it means for Coca-Cola.
