Pepsi or Coca-Cola? Iltalehti readers’ favorite is now clear.
The production of Pepsi and other PepsiCo soft drinks in Finland will be transferred to another beverage manufacturer. Anu Kivistö
A revolution is taking place in the soft drink market in Finland. Hartwall will stop manufacturing, selling and distributing Pepsi in Finland at the end of 2028.
Hartwall announced the matter on Tuesday morning, and many cola lovers were startled.
– It makes me sad, I love Pepsi Max more than anything, wrote one Iltalehti commenter.
– I drink 2-3 liters of Pepsi Max a day. I don’t know what I’ll do if it stops, said another.
However, the emergency is not like this.
In reality, the production of Pepsi and other PepsiCo soft drinks in Finland will be transferred to Carlsberg. The Finnish brewery Sinebrychoff is part of the Carlsberg group.
Sinebrychoff will continue manufacturing, selling and distributing Pepsi products in Finland from 2029. Hartwall will manufacture and distribute Pepsi’s drinks normally until the end of 2028.
The situation has also been confused by the fact that Sinebrychoff manufactures the products of Coca-Cola Company, Pepsi’s eternal competitor, in Finland. Sinebrychoff’s contract to manufacture Coca-Cola expires by the end of 2028.
There is still no information about Coca-Cola’s new manufacturer in Finland.

Which one is better?
Fueled by cola craze, we asked our readers which they prefer: Pepsi or Coca-Cola?
By Tuesday afternoon, 12,022 people answered the survey.
The race was tight. In the end, Coca-Cola emerged as the narrow winner of the two. 6,489 respondents chose it as their favorite. Pepsi was chosen better by 5,533.
So both classics have their supporters.

– I’ve cut back, but Coca-Cola is definitely better. I only drink Pepsi if Coca-Cola is not available, he says Jjram.
It is consumed on average three liters per day.
Pepsi also has its fans, but quite a few mention the sugar-free Pepsi Max as their favorite drink.
– I am a big consumer of Pepsi Max. It is consumed on average three liters per day. And this has been going on ever since the drink hit the market in the last millennium. Absolutely, Pepsi Max is the only right and winner for me in the cola race, writes the name label sparklinglish.
– Pepsi Max has been its own favorite soft drink from the beginning, which is perfect as a food drink and for everyday use. It’s good that you can still get it in the future, but it’s exciting how much the taste changes with the change of brewery, he reflects LilyBell.
Among the respondents, there are also those who do not like cola drinks at all.
– Maybe once a year I enjoy lemonade in the summer. Get these bastards out of the shops, he suggests Lunch Marko.
