Bram Moszkowicz again willingly takes on the role of spokesperson for Peter Gillis in Shownieuws, where critical questions invariably make way for a remarkable amount of understanding and support.
Nowadays, Peter Gillis is in court even more often than Rachel Hazes. Yesterday, the Public Prosecution Service demanded another 140 hours of community service for the alleged assault of his ex-girlfriend Nicol Kremers. He allegedly bit her on the back and nose and ‘slammed her face against the wall ten times’.
Gillis buddy
According to The Telegraph also stamped his feet on Nicol’s chest several times and took her phone. She states that she only got her phone back the next day, after Peter also ‘forced her to remove all the blood stains from the carpet’. This didn’t work.
Fortunately, Bram Moszkowicz is ready with his cleaning cloth. The fallen criminal lawyer, who has been serving as Peter Gillis’ lapdog for a long time, was allowed to soften the intense accusation again yesterday at the desk of Show news. It is incomprehensible that a so-called journalistic program puts a Gillis buddy at the desk to analyze the case.
Disagreement
Bram does everything he can to weaken Nicol’s story, starting with the photos of her abused face. “The defense has appointed an expert and he says, unlike the Public Prosecution Service: ‘We cannot determine that those photos were taken on the date on which Nicol says they were taken’, so there is disagreement about that.”
Bram then argues all other points in Peter’s defense. It is also funny that he always calls Peter ‘Mr. Gillis’, but his ex Nicol is described as ‘Nicolleke’.
Free tomorrow
Sandra Schuurhof is sitting at the desk. She is annoyed by Bram’s subjective attitude. “And what will Gillis be in court for again tomorrow?” she asks cynically.
Bram: “No idea. I think he has the day off tomorrow.”
Sandra: “Oh, he’s free tomorrow?! Okay… I mean: he’s in court almost every day now. How many charges are there against him now?”
Bram: “Well, there are three cases going on.”
More business
Sandra notices that Bram is toning it down again. “No, more. There are more things, right?”
Bram: “Yes. Maybe you should become a judge in your next life.”
Sandra: “That has nothing to do with it, but let us not forget that when we discuss this case. That it is not an isolated case.”
Bram: “I know Sandra and she has every right to say that, but no case is yet irrevocable in Gillis’ case, and then you have the right to speak.”
Deep pockets
Sandra points out that Peter has been stretching things for years. “Well, deep pockets. He can keep litigating for a long time.”
Bram: “Yes, whatever you want, but that is the right of that man in the Netherlands.”
Sandra: “He has already been convicted a few times in the first instance, right?”
Bram: “Yes, but not irrevocably, right? That is why we can appeal in the Netherlands and we have cassation and we even have a pardon.”
Presenter Dyantha Brooks: “On the one hand, it is a fraud case and on the other hand, it is an abuse case. That cannot be compared, right?”
Judge’s chair
Sandra does not comment on that. “No, but I will not sit in the judge’s chair.”
Bram: “Fortunately.”
Sandra: “But it is not the case that this is one case, because you are going to sit very much in the position of the defense and highlight that side very much. There is a lot going on. I don’t know how often you are in court?”
Bram: “I’m not going to sit in the defense’s shoes. If you listened carefully, I said exactly what the defense argued today and what the Public Prosecution Service argued.”
Underbelly
Sandra points out that Bram hardly puts forward the views of the Public Prosecution Service. “Less than what the Public Prosecution Service has argued.”
Bram: “Yes, but they also said less.”
Sandra: “That seems strong to me.”
Bram: “You start from your gut.”
What does Sandra think Talpa should do with Peter Gillis? “I think it’s time to say goodbye to it.”
And maybe Bram can go after it. Woof!
