Zendaya believes the third season of Euphoria will be the last. She said that on Monday in an interview on “The Drew Barrymore Show.”
Barrymore directly asked if this would be the final season of the hit HBO series – to which Zendaya replied: “I think so, yes.” Zendaya left it at that, but when Barrymore said she wanted to know what “statement” she should have as she approaches a possible final season, Zendaya chimed in: “The conclusion is coming.”
HBO has not yet made a final statement as to whether Season 3 of “Euphoria” will actually be the last. A spokesman for the station declined further comment.
Zendaya’s gratitude for “Euphoria”
Later in the conversation with Barrymore, Zendaya spoke about how “proud” she was of her work on “Euphoria” – the series “broke my heart open.” She continued, “Rue has taught me so much about life. This team has watched me grow. I owe this show so much. Rue has taught me so much about empathy and redemption. I am eternally grateful for all of it.”
Season 3 of “Euphoria” is scheduled to premiere this weekend, April 12th. Four years have passed since the acclaimed second season. In addition to Zendaya, much of the core ensemble returns, including Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo and Eric Dane – in one of his final filmed appearances before his death earlier this year. It is also the first “Euphoria” season without Angus Cloud, who played Fez and died in July 2023.
Also new in season 3 are Sharon Stone, Rosalía and Eli Roth.
